We're also dedicated to helping create a better world for all of us to share. Our main initiatives are to save all the animals and to plant all the trees. We dedicate a minimum of 20% of our proceeds to animal rescues throughout the United States. On top of that, we also plant 5 trees to celebrate every new member that joins us.
Is a vegan diet healthy?
Vegan diets are extremely healthy. Being vegan is an ideal for any phase of life from childhood to adulthood – even through pregnancy. Vegan diets are becoming increasingly popular among professional athletes from soccer players to powerlifters.
Vegan diets consist of a wide assortment of fruits, veggies, grains, legumes, nuts and seeds. A well-balanced vegan diet offers every nutrient your body needs to maximize its performance and minimize the risk of a wide variety of potential illnesses and diseases.
Where do vegans get their protein?
We started, in part, with a goal of helping vegans fuel their bodies with high-quality proteins. But, protein is in virtually every food that we consume. A general rule of thumb is that the average adult needs about .36 grams of protein per pound that they weigh. Using this formula, a 150-pound person would require approximately 54 grams of protein per day. However, for people or athletes with specific fitness goals, they may require a higher level of protein.
A well-balanced diet aided with protein powders will easily offer at least 54 grams of protein.
Does vegan food taste good?
Vegan foods are delicious and, outside of animal-based foods or ingredients, it is virtually limitless. The only thing that can really limit our diets is our imaginations.
The hardest part of transitioning to a vegan lifestyle probably won’t be your lack of food options or the taste of the food. The biggest obstacle is typically reprogramming your body to adjust to foods that aren’t highly processed and/or animal-based. Instead, becoming a vegan frees you to consume healthier, fresher foods.
Why do people become vegan?
We’ve reviewed several studies that have been conducted regarding why people choose to become vegan. And the overwhelming conclusion is that most people become vegan due to their beliefs regarding the treatment of animals.
The vast majority of vegans disagree with raising and slaughtering animals for human consumption. However, there are other reasons people decide to go vegan and we cover them in this article.
What’s the best way to go vegan?
We’re not going to lie to you. Going vegan is a big change. Especially, if you consume a diet that consists of a lot of animals or animal-based foods. But, if you’re on the fence then going vegan will definitely be worth it. There are two ways to do it…
You can quit consuming animals and animal-based foods cold turkey. Which, depending on your current dieting habits, may be difficult or shocking to do. Or, you can gradually reduce the number of animals and animal-based foods you consume.
We’d suspect that most people who have successfully gone vegan have done so cold turkey. That’s what we would suggest to anyone considering going vegan. Take a look at some vegan recipes and come up with a 14-day meal plan consisting of foods that you’ll enjoy. Then prepare and consume those recipes for 14 straight days. We’re willing to bet that it’ll be enough to help you successfully go vegan.
