Chocolate and Chia Protein Donut Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • ½ cup gluten-free flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup light brown sugar
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp chia protein powder
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 3 oz. dark chocolate (for the glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons sprinkles (for the glaze)

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 F
  • In a bowl mix together the dry ingredients: almond and gluten free flour, salt, brown sugar, cocoa powder and chia protein powder
  • Whisk with a wire whisk and add in the almond milk, vanilla extract and water
  • Place the mixture in donut baking pans and bake for 17 minutes or until a toothpick can be cleanly removed
  • Remove the donuts and let them cool slightly
  • Melt the chocolate and dip them half way through and sprinkle with some sprinkles on top
