Banana and Pea Protein Cake Recipe


  • 3 medium sized ripe bananas
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup almond milk
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups coconut flakes
  • ½ cup gluten-free flour
  • ¼ cup vegan chocolate chips
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons pea protein powder
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 banana for decoration


  • Preheat oven to 350 F
  • In a bowl, smash the bananas and add in the vegetable oil, almond milk and brown sugar
  • Add in the vanilla extract and stir
  • Add the dry ingredients: coconut flakes, gluten-free flour, baking powder, pea protein powder, chopped walnuts and chocolate chips
  • Stir then pour the mixture in a loaf pan that's well-greased with oil
  • Slice whole banana in half lengthwise and place it on top the loaf cake
  • Bake for about 35-40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean
